I really enjoyed my 2-berth Ford Transit campervan rental from Discover NZ that my wife and I traveled around the S.
Island in for 2 weeks this holiday season. Tony was always helpful from Day 1 when I bombarded him with questions about the campervans, insurance, etc, and was helpful throughout the rental period. I thought I had worn brakes, so he coordinated a shop visit at our next stop and got new brake pads down ASAP, but the brakes were fine in the end. The campervan was very clean and in very good condition when we got it. The Kruse GPS was also a highlight of the trip and I ABSOLUTELY recommend one if you enjoy culture and historical commentary--it was fabulous!! Tony also let me use one of their gas BBQs since we were freedom camping a bit; it came in handy on many an occasion. Tony's folks even picked us up at our B&B and took us to another upon return, which was very helpful. My only disappointment is that the price to rent one was a lot, though I recognize that quality is not cheap, and neither is good customer service. Moreover, I did do a lot of research and their prices are definitely competitive We did come at the high holiday time, but after talking with folks who had rental cars for $20NZ/day and staying at some nice places, campervans aren't the most cost-effective means. With that said, the ability to freedom camp was awesome, and I am grateful for Discover NZ's service, kindness, and attention to detail.

Simone and Lance are true diving enthusiasts that run a top-notch operation!
The boat, the gear provided, the sites selected in Milford Sound and their expertise were all exceptional. Even the food and hot drinks they provided were superb! My 2 dives in Milford were a world-class experience, and Descend Scubadiving made it a truly memorable event. I also commend them on their adherence to conservation guidelines in the Park, and their love of their job, nature and NZ are clear! Definitely dive with Descend--one of my best memories from the trip!
