We did the Sleeping God Canyon in the Coromandel.
Russ & Wayne have recently taken over the running of this canyon. We are experienced canyoners, and the other people on the trip were inexperienced/novices and they catered to all parties professionally. Our highlights were the tyrolean traverses (flying foxes). It is a good day out in the bush but you'd want to relatively fit and ok with heights/exposure. The BBQ at the end of the day was a nice way to finish off the trip.

We did an afternoon trip to Cathedral Cove, there were 4 in our group with 1 guide.
The coffee on the beach were great and there was the right amount of time to wander through the cove before heading back out on the water. It was good to get out further in the open water and circumnavigate one of the islands. If you were a stronger/experienced kayaker you might have not got your fill but for the average punter there was about the right amount of paddling.

We stayed in one of the cabins.
The staff were very helpful and knowledgable during what must be a challenging time with part of the Alpine Crossing closed. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Very happy with our time there.

We had a great day with Paul.
We are experienced canyoners/abseilers and the trip catered to our experience level and interests (which I'm sure was a bit of a challenge as we are not the typical clientele Paul gets). We spent time setting up the DSLR and taking photos in the caves catering to my husband's interest in photography. We got a full day of activities and definite value for money.
