Good tea, cold drinks, and great views.
Good tea, cold drinks, and great views. I agree with Picman. Very easy to find and seamless to navigate.

Penguin Quest 08 ended at the Antarctic Attraction.
We were unsuccessful in spotting penguins in the wild, but really enjoyed seeing the little blues at the center during feeding time. The exhibits were interesting, but a little too geared for kids. Well worth a visit though.

We drove straight to the Queen Charlotte trail head after our ferry ride from Wellington.
The drive was gorgeous and the trail was beautiful. Wonderful place not to be missed.

Well worth the $5 bucks.
The swing bridge was awesome, and the loop walk is a good way to stretch your legs.

A little disappointing!
I'm glad we saved this visit for the last day of our NZ trip. The thermal area was okay, except for the questionable "natural" mud volcano. The mud bath and soak was not what we expected, and our spa host was down right rude. I have to agree with other posts; it was too much money for what you get. There are better places to spend your time in Rotorua.

Fabulous Spa and heavenly massage.
We visited after running the Wellington marathon, and it was just what the doctor ordered:)

Best thermal park in the region!
We timed our visit to see the Lady Knox Geyser eruption. Well worth it.

One of our guide books said the Agrodome was a must do, but a little corny.
I don't agree. The show was informative, funny, and full of audience participation. The farm tour was great as well. We picked kiwi in the orchard, sampled kiwi wine and honey, plus we got to hand feed the animals. We visited in early June, so it was a bit chilly and rainy, but the covered wagon kept us dry and happy on our farm tour.

We visited Mitai in June of 08, and had a great time.
The cultural show, hangi feast, and night visit to Rainbow Springs was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend it!

We had a guided walk of Rainbow Springs as part of our Mitai Maori Village combo tour.
The grounds are beautiful at night, and our guided tour was informative. It was a perfect end to our evening. We visited in June, and we were glad we wore our fleece jackets, hats, and thermal bottoms:)
