Lets see where do i start.
I visited this place this week. Firstly the groups are over crowded. Our tour consisted of 40-50 ppl. You hardly could hear or take proper pictures with all the people blocking the view. There is no history told. You are being brought like cattle into this place, quickly running through the "decoration" village without proper explanation of what is going on, and inside the covered area where show part takes place. Again with poor introduction and poor explanation show starts. Show group is very young and unprofessional. Reminded a school play which was poor organized. Giggling, unhappy faces, no synchronization. 1 out of 10 for the show. Also make a note that no video allowed although photos were but setting for them is so poor that there was no point of taking them. If you would show your pictures to someone without telling what was in them, they would ask if its a Flintstones play in highschool.
The price - 135$. Is it worth it? Absolutely not. I would price it at most 45$ + 20$ for dinner. Dinner was ok with soup and mussels but nothing special and pretty tasteless , i think i would be better of eating elsewhere but was not offered a no dinner option.
If you look at the websites photographs, you will see all these nice pictures of authentic and personal experience. Well it is nothing like that and i can easily call it a misadvertising. Its not just nothing like in pictures, its completely not like that.
If you want some Maori experience, do not go to this place. I guarantee you will get more information from watching youtube videos. If you are considering this place, dont.
I talked to few people from the group and they all felt the same way - it was overpriced and reminded an unprofessional, unorganized teenage play.
This is an honest and not biased review of this place. I am, and many others, were absolutely disappointed.
