Quite right, everyone is taken aback by the positioning of our showers. However this is a former country school and though the authorities provided toilets for the children and staff they didn't extent to showers, so we had to put them where we most conveniently could, at least they are under cover ! Some years ago we needed more showers for the larger numbers but the council has a No Building Within 100m of Mean High Water Springs By-Law, enacted without consultation, and as this encompasses the whole camp we had to build a structure which could be moved which is why it is beside the carpark.
