One and a half hour (return) walk to a small waterfall.
Nice track with signs of some of the trees.

Really beautiful, only five minute walk, then you have got a beautiful pool.
Stunning but if you want to swim keep your shorts on it is icy cold. :-)

We have seen sperm whales, seals, dolphins, the whole lot.
We have even seen blue whale which is very unusual.
Hi Richard, thanks for sharing about your time with us. How fantastic to not only see sperm whales, seals and dolphins but also a blue whale - what a rear treat indeed. Hope the rest of your travels have been just as memorable as your time in Kaikoura.

We booked a cheaper van, the Jucy El Cheapo - this one was not available so we have a much nicer one with aircon, the only thing we miss is an extra pot to cook.

Good camping ground, loads of mosquitoes, there are no showers but you can have a cold shower on the beach.

Awesome, in the beginning of the track you get seals, then a really great view.
The weather was cloudy, but with the sun everything is nicer - 2.5hrs.
