The equipment (bus, vessel) are excellent. Crew (skipper, information officer, safety officers) superlative/knowledgeable/skilled. There was one whale, Charlie, snoozing on the surface. We enjoyed many dusky dolphin, albatross, petrels etc.
Thank you for such great feedback. It is always hard to determine what we are going to see from one tour to the next (which is what makes working with nature such a treat), not everyday can say you saw a 18 metre / 50 tonne whale sleeping :-)

Our first campervan experience. Pretty good layout of space and storage; good power supplies. I would prefer dual rear tyres or large wheels. No reply when I phoned twice for advice. I repaired the closet door.

Very interesting/interactive experience with wildlife (deer) and a useful kiwi-viewing habitat. The Maori Culture experience was informative, tastefully and culturally accurate. And I got to be a Tourist Tribe Chief.

Located on a county showgrounds.
The managers were plain folk, very helpful, their dog did tricks. local working guys camped in their cars. It was peaceful.
