We were lucky with the weather and had the place all to our self 4 deg during the day -3 at night but really nice spot.
Long drop was clean and tidy but the road in is a mission like mentioned before if your not prepared to drive on a pot hole not well maintained shingle road then you might want to think twice. We loved the place

We arrived after coming over from Christchurch to a completely empty camp ground.
5 of us in the group had the entire facility to our self. This was a retreat all facilities were like New and the check in was a breeze I would say on our trip all over the south Island this was by far the Best one ......Would recommend to everyone and we will be back thanks....
