We returned to this campground as it is superb!
So clean and tidy, and attractive gardens. But the best thing about it are the gorgeous thermal pools...the natural thermal water makes your skin and hair feel like silk! Our kids and us love it - try running barefoot in togs across frosty grass first thing on a midwinter morning and immersing yourself in luxurious heated water. Or floating watching the sun set and then the stars... We did both - every day we stayed here.

Fantastic!
Our whole family loved this - beautiful river and canyon on a stunning day, and totally friendly and interesting driver. We are so glad we did this jet boat ride rather than the Queenstown one, as it was twice as long and cheaper by half.
thanks for that, kind regards ,Mark

Our kids loved coming here, we spent hours here!
They say it was one of their favourite places of our whole 3-week South Island trip! (along with Queenstown Luge and Christchurch Antarctica Centre and Buller Canyon Jet). Wonderful tropical butterfly house with butterflies landing on you all the time, lots of hands-on exhibitions, so much to see!

Just wanted to say this is one of the best short walks (less than one hour) in NZ, and it's FREE.
During the day you can explore some of the caves - shine a torch on the walls near the entrance and you will see giant cave wetas. We took our kids for a walk to the bridge at night - WOW! - masses of glow worms on the river bank merge with the stars in the sky, it was a sublime experience.
