On looking back at our incredible holiday in New Zealand our thoughts always turn back to our day in the caves with our guide Paul of Green Glow.
We wanted to experience caving on our own without a host of others and Paul made it a day to remember. Our caving day was the highlight of our 3 weeks plus in the wonderful country and we can't thank him enough for the exciting memories we have of Waitomo caves and the patience he showed as we tackled the route.
Do yourself a favour and do not miss Green Glow caving with Paul whilst on your travels in the North Island.

We had a wonderful 3 weeks in a 2 bth s/t Campervan and it was a excellent van to drive.
The takeover in Christchurch was made so easy by a lovely lady called Sira whose thorough knowledge took any worries away immediately. A holiday of a lifetime. Only annoying things which stop us awarding a 10 was the very out of date sat nav which caused endless problems for us and the indifferance seemingly shown at Auckland on drop off. Tourism radio a winner. Very good company overall but needs to keep on the ball with the small details.

Lovely site.
good facilities all over, nice welcome by staff which always starts things off right. Had a really funny night as we had a Kea settle on our roof and after inviting him to try someone else's van he seemed to call his mates over and then 3 of them spent most of the night surrounding our campervan squawking their disapproval. Was a real funny moment

Came across Wings and Water on a dodgy weather day but managed to get a flight on a gap in the weather.
Unfortunately we were unable to get through to Doubtful Sound but the flight, pilot, thrill of taking off and landing on water was enough to make this an experience to remember. Very friendly pilot.

This was an interesting trip but felt a bit put off by the staff who obviously have had their fill of tourists.
Boat trip to Walter Peak was relaxing although busy. When we got to the farm we can only describe the scene as chaos as no one seemed to know what was going on. Food at BBQ was good but again we felt we were wandering around prior to finding it a bit lost. Touch more organisation please.

Well worth the drive to landing stage and boat captain kept us all interested.
Heavily reliant on the wildlife playing their part but if you are lucky it is a fun trip.

Spent that little extra for the premium lounge and well worth the money.
Lovely staff and oh so relaxing and peaceful. Only annoying bit was all the passengers coming in without paying and having to be moved on. Suggest coded door lock to prevent.

Always good to get a friendly welcome and here we certainly did.
Good place to stay without anything being exceptional. Compared to others we stayed at, just an average campervan site.

Can only give it a 10.
Every single member of the team were so professional, focused and welcoming. Did the 12000 jump on a awesome sunny day. Every aspect was explained throughout and is a moment we will never forget. Brilliant with a capital B
Brillant - love it - thank you for your review David and for skydiving with us. Great to hear the crew took great care of you and that you had an amazing 10 out of 10 time !! :-)

Took flight from Glentanner with a pilot called Phil.
Incredible experience and will remember it for always. Such an informative commentary and he could not have been a nice fellow to everyone. Made our day, week, month Year. Really exciting flight over Mount Cook and around.

Lovely welcome by caretaker.
Really interesting place to stay especially watching the horses training in the morning. Beautiful views with early fog across racecourse with sun making for wonderful photographic moments. No electric but that is the only distraction. Locals very friendly

Really enjoyed starting our holiday at Glentanner for several nights.
Really friendly welcome and throughout. Very helpful with information and lovely gift shop. Views couldn't be surpassed. Just wish it had had a dump station.
Best part of stay, taking off on an Air Safaris flight from campsite.

Pitches quite close together, Ok as a campervan site but was a bit soul-less.Never got the feel that other camps gave.
Good position near lake.

Very organised outfit with a lovely lady in office and Snow was our fantastic pilot.
Did a great snow landing and with great skill he flew us all over the area including Homer Tunnel. Milford Sound Airfield great place to fly from.

Amazing countryside to trek.
Lovely girl trekking guides. Possibly too much faith was put in the horses to behave when putting complete novices on board. Expected a bit more looking after the member of the party who had never been near a horse before. Certainly get moneys worth. Excellent value.

For a new set up we really enjoyed our stay in this possibly underated campervan site.

Basic campsite for campervaning.
Fireplace available for wild camping. Basic toilet which amazingly had a queue at times. Funny to see in such a wild spot. Good fishing opportunities very close by if the fish play ball (which they didn't which is why they are so big). Lovely scenery

After having such fun at Queenstown Luge we couldn't help comparing the two luge venues.
Rotorua was a lot less organised with the staff on a quiet day appearing a lot less motivated. Shame as it showed badly. The restaurant though was magnificent and would get a 10 on its own.

Came across this complex after throwing ourselves out of a plane across the road with Skydive Wanaka and it just about made our day.
Never done Archery before and after friendly tuition we found out just how hard it is. Best part of it all was the .22 rifle target shooting. Safe as houses activity to do and again the first time ever fired a rifle. Brilliant fun. Thanks guys for a real fun time.

Greeted by lovely receptionist.
Very busy park. Clean. Good price. Only small gripe was there was such a wait for the small laundry room. Could do with a little investment with this aspect. Can see it getting 10's all the time if this was sorted.
Hi David- We have good news!! We have started advertising that we have a second laundry :) Why we didn't think of this earlier, thanks for your review- we love feedback!

This is something else and given time this will be one of the most sought after experiences for visitors.
We were met by a real lovely couple of ladies who explained everything about the history of the idea and prepared us for our fun train ride. It is a fascinating system which is very reassuring and soon you are off on your journey. With an interesting commentary you can relax whilst your travel at a decent speed to the turnaround.
I can imagine this idea spreading to a good many other redundant rail lines around the world. Soon to be famous.
