Lovely place with an amazing view over the sea.
The landlord lady was very kind and welcoming. We walked along the sea - tide was out so walked at the rocky shore to the seal colonies. You walked very close to the animals.
We arrived January 4 around 4.30 pm and there was plenty of space.

It was one of the best camp grounds we have stayed in after 4 weeks of travel from the south to the north.
We travel in a campervan and enjoyed the spacious bathrooms with hot showers, but didn’t take advantage of the kitchen. Everything is very cute and very clean. The light up here is amazing and just a quick walk through the sand dunes you are at the 90 mile beach. We picked up tua tua shells right out of the sand. Note to self - let them stay in a bucket for hours to let them spit out the sand - we didn’t… the taste was amazing but very sandy.

The most beautiful view over the lake - we got there early - like 1.30 and we got front row.
If you arrive later there is still lots of space and since it is on a hill most campers get nice views.
There is a little beach that you can go swimming from. The water is pretty cold - but felt amazing.

The freshwater tap needs a really long hose so we couldn’t reach…
