Fantastic mid week stay.
Have been told it gets "Busy" on weekends. Flush toilets are "dated" but very well maintained. Waipa district council can be proud of this camping area. Although some of the users could be more respectful of the facilities. would certainly go again.

Great camping ground for the money.
We used the "bottom" camp area with the "long drop" toilet. The bird population in this area is incredible. The hospitality of the local people has to be experienced. It is a "Must do again" place to stay.

Great to hear children playing in the playground even if a bit noisy.
Also good early morning wakeup call as fishermen launch their boats, but a great place to stay overnight, with flush toilets on site!!! Great

Fantastic place right by the river.
Great cycle/walkway up to Arapuni which I have ridden many times. All round a great place to stay.

This park is now under new management, and what a difference!!!
The whole place has a different attitude and personality. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any camper. ALL the facilities are at no extra charge, the hot pools are great, the other facilities are being upgraded as funds become available, there is a discount for mountain bikers, which is great! I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and intend to make it my place to stay while mountain biking the redwoods.
