Facilities were clean & I liked our site.
No reception at the campground but tip: there’s a tree on the trail to the beach after ~200 m After the First gate where I had reception if you dont want to spend $10 for 1GB. Shower 2$/6min.

We loved staying here and came back for a second time!
Clean facilities, hot showers (1$/6min), swimming pool, pool, dart, all that kinda stuff. Kitchen clean. One of my favorite stays here in NZ so far.

First campground in NZ we stayed at.
First drive to a campground in NZ - 1st drive in NZ - so I didn’t expect a gravel road. It took quite a time getting there. The road was narrow and the sides were partly steep but definitely worth visiting (as well as the beach)! Drop toilets and cold showers available. Really friendly owners..

Hot showers and toilets available.
Hot Showers only useable with kiwi cash (penny cash). It got quite crowded on the weekend which was very disturbing for us. But we really enjoyed the little distance to the forest. Many mtbs. Plenty of space for campervans
