Perfect for a night.
Next to the park and a beautiful avery. Plenty of ducks and birds around. We strolled the park and enjoyed watching all the bird on and around the lake. Next to a busy road but it quiets down. Stayed there on a Saturday night and had a peaceful night sleep. Nearest toilet is in the park, but was clean and well lit. Max 4 self contained vehicles allowed.

Amazing little spot.
Views were amazing. Quiet night sleep with toilets in a reasonable condition. 4x4 access route and walking track at the end of the carpark. Locals also park there to use the beach and walking track, so sometimes you have to wait around for a self contained spot to be vacated. Don't park outside the designated area as the ranger does show up and people were fined. Can be a bit windy, but the views make up for it.

Not that great.
Some vagrants around. One decided to play his boombox as loud as possible at 10pm. Music not too bad, but it got a bit annoying around 12pm. 2flush toilets in a reasonable state. Some shops in the square start opening and setting up from 6:30am. Nice coffee shop.

Great spot.
Close to the beach. One long drop toilet, cleaned regularly. Lots of Weka and some hungry mosquitos

Fantastic little spot.
Close to the lake with only the sounds of nature. Lots of Weka and sandflies. Toilet block is clean and smells so fresh. Rubbish bins for small items only. Only 10 freedom camping spots, look out for the orange beacons.

Good kept grounds.
Easy access to empty waste water. No potable water to fill up tanks which is a shame as it's much easier to do it all in one go
