Lovely spot, close to town (5 minute walk down a steep path).
Facilities are nice but I’d say you are paying for location here than anything else. Most campers that stop here are ones that couldn’t get a camping space in the free car park in town!

The reviews aren’t wrong, arrive early!!
We arrived at 2pm to find all spots taken. People seem to stay for the full 2 days allowed meaning no one really moves. The spaces are absolutely huge which is frustrating as there could definitely be more space allocated to freedom campers.

Small spot with good facilities.
Little shop on site but nothing else in the area. The site is by the road but it’s not busy so traffic noise wasn’t an issue. The views from the road into Ōkiwi Bay & along the French Pass are stunning and well worth a visit.

Beautiful spot right by a little nature reserve.
Not many spots so be mindful that they will fill up fairly quickly. Toilets a short walk past the dam.

Nice spot, good facilities and 2 minutes walking distance from the centre of Queenstown.
Only negative is that the sites are all pretty close to one another!

Lovely spot right by the beach!
There is some traffic noise from the main road but the white noise from the waves kind of balances it out. The cafe shuts quite early at 4pm so just be mindful if it’s cold & wet in the evening! Phone signal seemed to be quite intermittent.

Beautiful spot albeit seemed fairly pricey to then have to pay for hot showers and minimal WiFi allowance.
I guess you are paying for the location.
