Very friendly check in and excellent value.
Toilets and hot, strong showers.
Didn’t use other facilities.
Minor train noise and cars leaving early in the morning but quiet site generally.

Clean and functional toilets.
Moments to beach. Quite location w dairy on next corner with all the essentials.
Camped w three other motor homes.
Site checked for compliance with freedom camping rules in evening. Park in designated spots.

Great location for families to walk to hot water beach.
Jumping pillow and and space for kids. Good, well maintained facilities including excellent camp kitchen. Very well laid out and grassy sites.

Didn’t actually get to stay - already at capacity when we arrived (late at 5pm summer time).
However, what a special place. Toilets fine. Great info Centre, new one being built. Price now suggested $10pp/night. Cash in honesty box or via QR code in info booth.
Great spot near lake and setting is perfect. Three night stay allowed so would be difficult to get and spot no matter what time you turned up. Bit of a drive for no guarantee. Recommend going early and spending day there in hope of a night spot!!

No complaints from us.
As you’d expect. Toilets clean, no smell, floor dirty. Need to be self reliant for drinking water. About 7 other vans here and some cars- no occupants, presumably hikers out and about. Great setting. Adequate space. Got windy in evening but we felt relatively protected.

Serene location.
Pricey for the night when toilets dirty but well maintained otherwise and well set up. Great that community maintain it. Quiet for us with one other van and two car campers. Local youths stopped by w music from midnight to dawn which detracted a little from our experience.
We were set up w kiwi cash/go penny before arrival so all worked well to pay.
