The government gardens is very well situated to the town centre and very stunning.
The park itself was a car park near the Polynesian spa and filled up very quick on the Saturday. Toilets are very nice but were rather far away and lock after 9pm, but the spa is open until 11 and will let you use the toilets. The place itself smells very pungently of egg but that’s because of the thermal aspect. We were allowed to stay two nights which was good.

Only three spaces and no toilets so we didn’t stay but a very lovely view and closely situated to the city centre if you don’t mind a 30 minute walk.

We got there at 7pm and it was locked.
Locks at 6pm and opens in the morning so I’m guessing if you need to leave over night you can’t get out.

Got there just after 7pm and it was chained off.
Couldn’t get in, didn’t really look very hard for another entrance because it was dark, so maybe we missed it.

We parked our camper at a non powered site.
Super close to the caves which was great. Has everything you need, good toilets, good showers, washer and dryer for extra $4 each. Also has pool and spa which I didn’t use plus kitchen and media room area. Pricy at I think $29pp but that’s about normal for the top 10 places I think. We didn’t have to book or anything so that was nice.

Lovely location overlooking hydro dam.
Has decent toilets that were open all night to my knowledge. Easy to find, just off the high way but it was very peaceful.

Make sure you follow the directions on the rankers info and don’t just put in the name.
Has toilets which is always great, rather busy but personally that’s a bit of a comfort.
