As of 16 July 2024 - there is a sign on the pump beside where they refill the gas which says ‘out of order’.
It is a bit confusing as the pump also has ‘LPG’ on it. The bottle refilling is NOT out of order though.

After reading other reviews I was apprehensive to stay here, but in the end, I didn’t have a lot of options due to other circumstances during the day.
I arrived here about 8pm, there were a few other campers there already. The site I stayed on was a bit uneven, but not rediculously so. No boy racers or parties. I didn’t use the facilities, so can’t comment on them (I’m fully self contained) and I left again before sunrise. But from what I could see, looked like a nice camping spot. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Only swap-a-bottle BUT - there is a drive through bottle refilling place at 34 Shands Road, which is REALLY close by (about a 2 min drive). The guys at Shands Road couldn’t have been nicer. Plenty of room to swing a camper in and around.

My new favourite camp site!
I stayed here 5 nights, self contained, until the weather drove me out. I was sad to leave. The area is just breathtakingly beautiful. This is a great base to explore the region
