South Island ▷ Fiordland ▷ Milford Sound - Fiordland National Park ▷
4.5/5
We've chosen this small boat because we don't like crowds and it's been a very good choice.
With this small boat they can approach the walls of the fiord, be under waterfalls and be near animals like a new zealand seals colony. It's a 2:15 cruise, enough time to enjoy the wonders of Milford Sound. The guides are very amusing. The Discovery Centre is suitable for kids only.

This have been my first helicopter flight and I can say...
wow! It's been incredible. We had the helicopter for two people alone. The pilot was young but very experienced. He explained us everything and gave a very good flight with an amazing landing and feeling secure through the entire flight. It's a must to do experience.
South Island ▷ Mount Cook - MacKenzie ▷ Omarama ▷

We chose this activity randomly, along with the Glaciers Explorer (the Tasman Lake boat cruise).
It's fully advisable to take the private wellness pod, not the hot tubs only. It's a two hour pleasure, changing from the hot tube to the sauna, without anyone more disturbing you. Very romantic and relaxing.

Completely advisable.
The guide, Ian, is a very passionate person about kiwis and he is trying to spread his knowledge among people, in order to promote the kiwis conservation programs. And he is succesful, at least with us. We didn't have luck in our tour, but it was an incredible experience, being in such a forest at night, with kiwis so near (we heard two of them crying). A must.
Trip Date 7th April 2012
This trip was guided by Paul - who did and excellent job on a tough night. It's a tough ask - getting 8 strangers to gel together then head out and look for one of the rarest birds on the Planet.......at nightime. Well done for attempting the near impossible. Ian
