Road noise was fine though I found it disconcerting to be so close to the road.
Hubby freaked out when train rumbled past during the night as we didn't realize how close it was. Facilities were the best I'd ever come across due to recent refurb. I spent an hour lounging in the laundry room reading complimentary mags. Receptionist was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Disappointed with 'playground' though. Luckily there was only our 2 kids there as one trampoline and a tiny fort isn't big enough to accommodate many kids.

Facilities were clean and well maintained.
Fantastic playground nearby (not the campsite one) and st Kilda beach just behind the campground is stunning. Sites are compact but no worse than other campgrounds.
Hi Kimothy
Thank you very much for your lovely comments and rating of our Holiday park. We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and also the beach and playground nearby to the park. We hope to be able to welcome you back again sometime soon.

Not fussed on this attraction.
Only did illusion rooms not the maze. The hologram pictures haven't been updated since the 80s. Whole place seemed a bit dated. The Roman toilets were a hoot though.

Is pricey but unique.
Was expecting more from the snow storm - am used to Wellington winds so 40km ph felt like a breeze. Penguins were cute. Kids loved the haggling ride, especially my 3 yo. The Luggage lockers were really handy.

Kingston flyer is running again and is great way to experience history.
Trip is only 30 mins each way which suited our short attention span. Stayed in campervan overnight in their car park right on the lake front - superb! Beautiful drive to queenstown along the lake afterwards.

Park like surroundings on the edge of a picturesque lake.
Kids loved the play area. Hosts were fantastic. Only gripe would be the state of the men's showers - hubby said it was a bit manky. Ended up moving campervan at 1am when wind made acorns fall onto the roof which were so loud we couldnt sleep. Would definitely stay there again.
Hello there Kimothy. Thanks for your comments. The mens showers are on the agenda. Have been waiting for quotes to come back. Not much luck so have moved to March next year. If only $$$ would fall out of the sky. Regards Sarah
