Cheapest in the area, big places for vans.
1 dollar for a warm shower. You can cook indoors. Next to the sea.

We rented a Self-Contained van for 3.5 weeks (3000km).
The price was very competitive and the van was spacious. Also, the fact that we could sit inside the van during rain was a big pro.
The biggest disadvantage was the fuel usage which was way more then advertised! We used 15 liters per 100km while they said the van would do 10 or 12 liter per 100km. Also, we had a manual car with 280k driven so some bits and pieces weren't working as you'd expect.
So: you get what you pay for: a mediocre van in a beautiful country.

Definitely a good place.
Close to the city centre. Good toilets. Nice sunsets. Would come again if my holiday wasn't over :(

Fills up way too soon.
I would rather take the one east further down the Peninsula. Same amount of spots bit more quiet spot.
But close to toilet, the beach, city and amenities.
Oh, you have to pay for parking from 08.30-17.30. After that you can freedom camp on 6 spots.

Expensive campsite for what it's worth.
Albertville has a better vibe and location next to a river, but no warm showers there so we staid here (for too long).

Great place next to the sea.
Clean toilets and showers. You do have to get there early as it's very popular. Oh, don't be a douche and listen to music all day on your JBL speakers ✌️

Very nice and clean spot next to a lake.
The sandflies will eat you alive though. We had like 30 in our van...

Best spot in town.
Toilets, sunsets, cold water shower, crayfish store. What else can you wish for?

Great views.
If the toilets aren't full then it would be almost perfect. Place for 100/200 vans

My favourite campsite while is was visiting new Zealand.
Warm showers. Everyone is there for hiking purposes so for the same reasons. Great vibes!

Very basic camping.
You have to pay extra to have a warm shower.

40 dollars for a spot, cold showers, smelly toilets and too many sandflies.
Wouldn't recommend.

You basically have to be here at 8 or 9 in the morning because people are queueing to take your place.
Why? It's next to the beach and there's a shower. 2 places

Neat toilets.
Place for at least 50 vans. Legendary sunsets. Only the road noise can be intense

Legendary spot.
Staid there with 7 more vans, plenty of space (space for 50 maybe). Toilets were disgusting though. Do watch the stars at night.

Loved the hippy and relaxed atmosphere there.
Felt like a proper mountain campsite just like in the Alps. ♥️
