Lovely setting and the lake was perfect for a swim- way warmer than Lake Wakatipu!
Sandflies were pretty bad and toilets smelt disgusting. Road getting there was one of the roughest I've been on in this country. Quite a small site compared to others nearby, maybe 20 flat spots.

Beautiful setting.
Basic amenities but for me a swim in the lake made it worthwhile. Lake not as clean and clear as others in the area. Couple of water taps available (not drinking water).
I wouldn't want to drive here after dark as the road is rough and the cows are all over it and not that keen to move. I also worried about vehicles at night driving near people in tents- not very safe.

One of the nicest DOC sites I've stayed at.
Stunning surroundings, lots of grass and trees, lovely friendly doc hosts.
Absolutely loads of space so it was a bit odd when a large group chose to camp right next to me. Several large groups and some playing annoying loud music at night and first thing in the morning. I guess people come here for a weekend away from Queenstown but if you want to party then go somewhere else please.
Walk around Moke Lake made it perfect.
Dirt road was a bit rough and I wouldn't want to do it at night.
