For me this was a quite shocking experience after travelling already through New Zealand for three months.
While arriving at the campsite we were doubting if it was suitable for us and if there was something to do for our 4 year old daughter and if there is a place in the shade. What we sometimes do is drive on the campsite and have a look around and then afterwards go or register at the reception. We decided to go but before we could drive off my daughter got ill and vomited. I just went out of the campervan to get Some water to clean her, and a truck came with high speed to us, hit the breakes a meter and stopped a meter next to me and started shouting to me and beïng aggressive and intimidating to me that we had to leave right away.
Ok, his point of view is probably that we cant drive on the campsite like that and we didnt follow the ‘Rules.’ ok. In my point of view there is never any excuse to behave like that and for sure it was disproportional. And that to a woman with a vomiting child. Maybe hé doesnt know how aggressive hé came accross to me.
When i said we were planning to go or register hé said hé didnt believe us… i don’t know how often it happens that people camp on a campsite illegally, that is of course very sad. But to immediately assume people are doing wrong, seems difficult to me to run a business like that.
