For $15 it's worthwhile, several different pools at different temperatures.
The waterslide was very good fun especially the bendy part at the end.
We were slightly disappointed there wasn't more pools..... until we discovered the private spa pools, no extra cost just leave a deposit (e.g. keys) and you have your own spa pool at your choice of temperature (38-42c) - I think most people miss the private pools so well worth checking them out.

Expensive for what it offered.
I can see why it's nice if you stayed in the chalet, but for a campervan the facilities offered were very limited and it was expensive for what it was, as for the seabreeze that far in land, I doubt it.
In hindsight, should have stayed at Hot Water Beach Top 10.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you didn't enjoy our peaceful rural park, and "kiwi" camping experience, all just 7-8 mins drive from Hotwater beach. We believe our fees provide great value for all guests whether camping or in a self contained chalet, including our huge list of FREE and unique items. e .g Studio gym workout, snorkel gear for the local snorkel trail.

A free DOC campsite, no different to some of the paid DOC campsites, so its a bargain!

It costs nothing and takes a very short amount of time, making more than worthwhile.
The sound of the roaring water pouring through the chasm and the chasm itself are worth seeing.

Small campsite with basic DOC toilet, only 45 mins from the ferry terminal at Picton (looks closer but the roads are very windy)

A nicely spread thermal garden, with several sulphurous thermal pools which were very smelly - very good for a free attraction.

Short walk from the road to a nice waterfall, worth a picture.

A steep walk, but great views around Tauranga and the islands around, well worth it.

We really enjoyed puzzling world, was a lot of fun, with the large maze, puzzling rooms - which mess with your head, and we spent at least 30 minutes in the seating area/foyer trying to solve the puzzles
there.
It is quite pricey, but very enjoyable.

Stayed here due to the favourable reviews, and were not disappointed.
Very good facilities, including free to use kayaks, table tennis, TV and pool table ($1 a time - I think) as well as good kitchen facilities.
There is a nice riverside walk from the campsite to the lake.
The campsite host was very friendly, this campsite was the best we stayed at.

Very good site, with a swimming pool, and playground so especially good for kids.
The staff were very helpful with suggestions for activities etc., there were queues for the main shower block but I found a different block with no one in!
Overall a very good site.

Beautiful lakeside campsite, with a great lakeside walk to Albert Town.
Reasonably priced at $28 for two people in a campervan - without power.
Downside was $1 for the shower, which didn't last that long, $3 for washing and $3 for drying wasn't too bad though as both had a long cycle.

For a DOC campsite, this was fantastic, especially considering it was the same price ($6 pp) as Lake Paringa.
The toilets were proper - not the usually hole in the ground with a seat on standard DOC fare.
Sunset was beautiful, but sunrise was awesome, amazing seeing the sun come up over the mountains across the lake, and some beautiful photos of the jetty.

Not a very big site, but quite busy with boats coming and going.
Facilities were among the worst DOCs we stayed at, it seemed more worthwhile to freecamp somewhere than pay the fees for a poor toilet.
The lake is nice but there are much better lakes and there were lots of sandflies

As the only campsite at Milford Sound, it is busy and expensive, but both are to be expected due to the location.
It had a good range of facilities with a lounge and cafe and picnic benches for campervan sites.
Quite a small site but worthwhile if going to Milford Sound to benefit from the smaller cruises.

Nice spot to freecamp, just off the main road with a playground, public toilets (which aren't very nice) but it was next to the lake so nice location.

Absolutely stunning, a beautiful sunny day.
We were on the first cruise out, which is highly recommended, as when we got back the terminal was full of people.
The cruise goes further than other boats, although there was not much further out, had complimentary tea and coffee, was well worth the money.

One of the highlights of the trip, did not disappoint at all!
We did half day Foxtrot and it was so much fun crunching the ice with the crampons, checking out the mulans and seeing the fresh water and ice, photos don't do it justice.
We were also fortunate it was a beautiful sunny day, no guarantee of that - rains 200 days of the year here!
V. worthwhile.

Hot showers, free wifi, not the best top 10 site out there but still fairly good, just very pricey at $40 a night for a campervan.

Very nice DOC site, about 3km down a gravel track, nice lakeside camping, only $7 pp, facilities are of the basic DOC hole in the ground toilet kind.
