Appalling.
I paid for rental in advance. Hours before landing in New Zealand for car pick up, GO Rentals refused my hire because they wouldn't accept my valid current temporary Canadian drivers license. It doesn't state this anywhere on their site nor their rental agreement. They then kept nearly $500 of my deposit for a cancellation fee and related costs - on a rental they cancelled. I tried for weeks to resolve this + they don't care.
Their competition hired me the same vehicle with my same license at a better price.

Unfortunately, as per our Ts&Cs, we cannot accept temporary Driver Licences from overseas, these must be full valid and unrestricted. Unfortunately, without another main driver with a valid full Driver Licence, we wouldn't be able to proceed with this booking, therefore this would incur a 10% cancellation fee as per our Ts&Cs.
