Half hour day tour was well organised and good option for this short on time but wanting to maximise their time at the Glacier.

Badly organised at pickup (Christchurch), took almost two hours as lots of extra things we ordered were missing.
Vehicle itself in good condition and nice to drive. Markets itself as well designed but we found it not to be as good as lots of other companies we have seen. DVD collection at spacestations almost always poor and sometimes did not have any at all (eg Catlins).

You can visit the Albratross Centre for free and if you go to the 100metres right at the centre (public land) you can also see the albatross and seals for free rather than pay for expensive tour.

Amazing to see Hector Dolphins so close to shore performing acrobatics over the waves at Porpoise Bay.
Also see penguins waddling up the beach at Curio Bay (also famous for petrified forest fossils) - take a blanket to keep warm.

A trip to Doubtful is an absolute must in New Zealand.
Skip the crowds of people on Real Journeys and go with this company which is a wee bit smaller and personal. Cross your fingers for good weather!!!
