Great host!
Nice place to stay. Affordable prices, we paid $36 for 2 people non-powered site.
Amenities are in good condition, 1GB internet free, and check out is 10:30am!

Excellent campsite, it was a good price.
Can’t remember now but an average of $40ish for 2 people non-powered site.
It has coin operated laundry machine, kitchen and lounge!
We found this place much more affordable to come after staying at Milford.
We checked places at Te Anau to stay on our way back from Milford but they weren’t taking calls or had bad reviews. Happy to come and find this place.
Thank you so much Diana for your kind sentiments :)
I'm glad you bought up the price, it's a great chance to get the message out about prices. It's $38 for 2 adults on a powered/unpowered site. When booking for a site, we always tell people to book direct, either by phone or by just driving in as when booking by anyone other than our own website, i:e; free-online-booking, guests pay more and we hate that, we want people to pay as little as possible instead of paying an extra amount because of high commission fees.
I hope you're okay with this response being a public service announcement. Like you, we want people's travel to be as affordable and enjoyable as possible!
Happy travels and again, thank you very much!!!

Good spot.
I agree to some of previous mentioned but would like to provide personal opinion on some matters:
“WEKA” looks like a brown chicken or kiwi, google it.
They are very friendly and harmless I would think, but just like seagulls this cheeky bastard like to beg for food. They got closer to our van but just that. They are always around waiting if some food drops or something is close enough for them to take it.
Toilet: just ONE! And the smell can be disgusting if people forget to close the toilet, it is a long drop so close it after it. Easyass.
The beach is sand based but plenty of wood around and some people make bondfire.
There are 30 spots to stay overnight, there’s a map at the beginning so everything is very clear for you to find the right spot.
For me it looked like a dirty beach, but after some hours I just saw it as nature being not that pretty hehehe!
Anyways, hope this helps.
Pd:
Wekas weren’t loud in the morning or anything. Good nice sleep.

Good spot for a free campsite.
Toilets are NON LONG DROP, just normal regular toilets in just good enough cleaning conditions.
Many spaces to park but it gets crowded quiet easy.
Nice view, quiet place.

Good spot to stay before heading to Queenstown.
Staff friendly. We paid about 40ish for 2 people staying in a non-powered spot.
Comes with free wifi, which can go so slow once it gets late and there’s much more people on the network.
Amenities are old but clean and in good shape.
Kitchen is small and gets busy! That was the only annoying thing for us. It’s only for the kitchen we review 8 instead of 10.
