Nice enough campsite, simple and exactly what we needed for the night.
$10 for the night (although we just had $20s so paid double!). Nowhere to write details so very much an honour system. Lots of empty caravans which reduced the spaces but we were there in October so it wasn’t too busy (just us and 1 other camper). There was a toilet with a system to throw water down to “flush” down the long drop but no shower (looks like there a simple one for summer but not outside that I’d guess). Water was available to top up tanks etc but don’t think it was drinkable.

Beautiful location, particularly stunning in the morning!
Fairly simple and exactly what we needed for the night before we started the Routeburn track!
$15 pp for the night (although we just had $20s so paid a bit more..), there was a slip to write info on. Nice, separate bays to park or camp in. Long drop toilets, no showers. Tap to top up water tanks. We were there in October 2023 and the bridge right by the campsite (for the longer track to the start of Routeburn) had been washed away a few days earlier so you can’t do that trail currently. We drove to start Routeburn and it was perfect location to stay for that.

There is LPG top up but only for larger tanks (9kg+ I would guess).
Ours is ~5kg so the top up wouldn’t work.

Fairly standard gas station but the guy who served us was very helpful.
We called about LPG top up and they were helpful and said they had it then helped us check and top up.

Not a bad service station but just to note that as of October 17th 2023 the LPG refill machine was broken so they can’t do that right now.

As of October 2023, this gas station doesn’t do LPG refills, even though it says it does.
They do exchange but not refills.
