Horrendous trip - seriously rough 75% of passengers seasick and weather so bad that all outdoor access closed.
Crew did great cleaning up, resupplying sick bags and keeping film and facilities running. Would have been a 9 but for the weather.
Thanks for travelling with us! If only we could control the weather.... Still I'm glad to hear the crew were working hard to make it as comfortable as possible and I hope the sea sickness hasn't put you off crossing the Cook Strait for life!

The scenery, situation and the fact that you are flying through it make this trip.
The fact that the pilot was terse and almost incommunicate could not detract. My 2 questions once we had landed on the snowfield were replied with a grunt and a dismissive attitude so I simply gave up and absorbed the experience. I do highly recommend this trip but don't expect any commentary, explanation or answers to questions just enjoy the ride!

We did the plane trip - same itinerary as the other reviews and yes it is as good as they say.
The organisation is spot on and the care and attention second to none. Like others I was as sick as a dog both on the way out and the return but it was so worth it I would go again tomorrow. When you think that others spend a whole day in a sweaty coach there is really no comparison to be able to see both sides of the N island at the same time and look down the Bay of Islands. Expensive but worth every cent.

There is so much to see in Rotorua that unless you are going to stay for a week or so the best way to go is with a guide and they don't come any better then Elite and in particular Trent.
From being picked up on time at our door to drop off where we wanted it was a superbly interesting day. Yes at times we could have stayed at one place or the other for a while (an hour or 2 in our case) but to fit in what we did, all entries included is a great deal. Trent can answer any question posed with humour and eloquence, his knowledge of both history and geothermals is vast and his delivery ensures an informative and entertaining day.
