Walked in 1998 and Feb 2023 This is a superb walk but track in desperate need of repair and maintenance from Little Wanganui Saddle heading west Care needs to be taken if you are walking this section

Otherwise good huts great views in good weather and very few people, non to be exact in Feb 2023;we were on our own
