Very friendly and helpful staff ('living angels' ;o) you know who you are) who were most welcoming and obliging.
Near the beach and a good stop en route back to Christchurch. Was a whistle stop visit so didn't really see much of the facilities and area.

We spent 3 weeks in a Discover NZ 2-berth deluxe ST Transit campervan in December and January and loved it.
Tony and his team are all very helpful and friendly. This included enquiries by phone and email prior to deciding which company or vehicle to go with, to ease of pick up in Auckland with Eddie, flexibility of drop off in Christchurch with Lee and Tony's help with arranging a replacement windscreen along the way. The vans themselves are clean and well equipped and drive really well (no problem getting up the many, many steep hills!). The versatility of having a camper is definitely the best way to see New Zealand and the country is so well set up for it with never a problem findng either a DOC site or a commercial holiday park even during the busy season (but still best to book for New Year if you are heading for a popular spot). We'd definitely recommend both this experience and hiring your campervan with Discover NZ. This company is all about customer service and making your experience a good one, just the way it should be. Thanks to all at Discover NZ for your part in our amazing trip.

Unfourtunately one of the big hazards here in NZ with our "chipseal" constructed roads but easily sorted and so glad you had a fulfilling experience over and above the minor windscreen mishap. we very much enjoyed your time with our company

Only stayed one night en route to Wellington but felt had to say that this camp has the best shower facilities we encountered at any campsite in our four week trip.
Brand new individual shower/toilet areas were excellent and clean. Also free laundry was a bonus. Owner very friendly.
