Awesome facilities, very clean and modern, tidy, really friendly staff, enjoyed the spa, campground best situated for a quiet night sleep.
Campground has a good layout.
Price (20$ pp, nonpowered tentsite) is a bit steep (only negative point), but totally recommend to stay.

Travelled from Hanmer End, lunched at Acheron Cob Cottage, beautiful spot for camping, but we chose to drive on to Cob Cottage at the other end.
Drive was amazingly scenic, fairly good gravel road.
Campsite was great, really friendly Rangers, good toilet facility, peaceful and good water.
Totally recommend to anyone thinking of doing this trip.

Pure nature, close to a nice river.
Thousands of sandflies! Make sure you have repellent with you.
Camped on a nice spot, stars at night were amazing, nice & peaceful night.

Nice setup, but really close to the road and the footpath.
Extremely loud during night (main road to the left, train to the right).
Good facility.
Good for a stopover break, but not good for a night in a tent.

Friendly staff, good facilities, very laid back and relaxed, don't expect the modern touch, but it's very clean and tidy.
Unfortunately there over three days of rain, didn't get to enjoy the Karamea heat.

We really like it there as well as the camp ground itself has a good landscape layout.
Really great facility, clean, friendly staff.
Downside: 15.50$ per person for a nonpowered tentsite.
