Viewing Tane Mahuta is a must.
What a special big tree he is.

Nice compact site, 10 minute walk to the amazing 90 mile beach.
Best sites for campers are near the office and closer to the beach. Very good facilities and friendly staff. Even has SKY TV in the TV lounge with SKY Sports too, so you can keep up with the cricket! Would definitely come back to the camp.

We stayed one night in our campervan.
The holiday park is fairly run down and not well looked after by the owners. They need to make major renovations to bring this up to an acceptable standard.
Apart from that we did get a great site for the campervan that looked out onto the beach with an unobstructed view. I just ask that the management give it a lick of paint and a few new planks of wood here and there.
If you want to use the hot pools you get a concession pass from the Holiday Park, which is at least 50% off at $11.50 per adult.

Nice campsite with good facilities.
Very big site with lots of people at peak times, so if you like the quieter side of things it may not be for you until off-peak season.
Would stay here again.

Amazing Holiday Park.
Beautifully laid out and designed, and the facilities are second to none. We had a 4 berth campervan and paid for the deluxe sites that have a view of the harbour. What they also have is their own wastewater sump that you can put the hose into without having to move the van. Perfect all in one site.
We stayed 5 nights over New Years and were so happy with our choice. It is only 15 minutes walk to Long Beach which is very calm, so great for families and little children. Russell township is only a 5 minute walk away. If in Russell and camping/campervaning then look nowhere else.
