Good campground, with what you need.
No more no less.
Little barbecue, not roofed. Kitchen facilities nicely equiped, but a little crowded. Warm showers. Clean.
Close to portobello with restaurant, cafe, bar, gas station and little grocery store.
Best place to stay if you wish to explore otago pininsula.
We would come back :-)

The best parking lot seen to date.
Toilet with flush, cold shower, dump station, besch, nice view, just beside wonderful park and the most crazy playground EVER, just few 100 meters away. Pinguins at night (after sunset), city near by with shops and restaurants.
We saw 4 penguins, they turned up about 45 minutes after sunset (22.05). Our children loved the playground, the teens the free wifi at the library and the adults the penguins. We were there a friday with sun and little wind. Very quiet spot, even though there was some cars racing beside the penguins spot around 9-11 PM.

We truly loved everything about this place!!
We came 2 adults, 4 children (6,11,15,17) and a motorhome. We wrote directly by mail to the owner Dave a couple of weeks ahead, since we were not able to find ANY places nearby available during the christmas days. Dave was so kind, and the kids loved his litle dog George, the pigs, the dear, the sheeps etc. There is also a nice pool, an old tenniscourt, but with the most magnificent view etc etc. People staying is a nice mix from all over the world, backpackers, elder people and families. We felt very welcome and didn’t mind what at first glance seemed a bit outdated and untidy, since everything turned out to have its own order and Dave kept everything clean and in order. We highly recommend this place and is one of the reasons for us to definitly come back, even though we have to travel from the other side of the world (Denmark).
