We went in May , loads of space to park, like other reviews the toilets stank , no sinks either to wash hands.

Nice site, bit expensive, we went in May 2023, paid $30 per person, did loads of laundry which was all chargeable, great views of lake, dump station was not great, only one on whole site, big queue.

May 2023 Arrived quite late in the day , the low score is for the grumpy lady on reception, fairly nice site but too expensive in my opinion, we paid $100 for 1 night for 4 adults in a camper van.
Nice showers, didn’t use any cooking facilities on site.

We came in May 2023, we weren’t planning on coming here but decided last minute and rang ahead, really lovely lady Nicky on reception booked us in , price was great compared to other places, we paid $68
for 4 adults in a camper van, laundry room good, showers nice and hot no timer, borrowed a hairdryer from reception, busy site but not noisy at all, we were doing the TranzAlpine train the next day so left our van on a spare plot overnight the next day and collected it the day after, paid a very small fee , Nicky was really helpful arranging all this ,

May 2023, Arrived quite late, nice toilet block , I was up early and had a lovely walk to toilet block with loads of massive rabbits everywhere!
Managed a glimpse of the mountains before the weather came down and covered it all, we did the Hooker Valley Walk , it took 3 hrs total, lots of people on track even in the pouring rain! Surprised to find some toilets halfway round in the middle of nowhere, amazing! Great views of river from bridges.

We came in May 2023, arrive early as fills up by evening time, little walk to toilets that were clean and had sinks to wash your hands, lovely little town to walk round, great public library to visit and
speak to local volunteers. Driving out we took the ‘tourist drive’ route, be warned it’s a bit scary at the top with the hairpin bends and the wind too !

This place was a hidden gem if you like peace and quiet, we came in May 2023, loads of flies which is expected they don’t bite so don’t panic, great toilet block, fairly new I think, cold water but outside
shower and sink for washing up, toilets clean and had soap and paper, right next to water so be careful if it’s due to rain a lot, we walked all round to see if ground was waterlogged so knew to park further in , lots of people turning up but loads of room to park still.
