We stayed here one night and it was a awesome experience we had access to fresh water toilet facilities were immaculate, playground for the kids lots of spaces available for large and small self-contained
units and great access to the beach and only a 10-minute walk South to tuna Street for a nice fish and chip's on the beach

To repeat the last review can confirm the same thing toilets are still being upgraded but a portaloo is onsite and is a 2-3 min walk away camping spot is limited so arrive before 6 I reckon ground doesn
't permit pitched awnings and as is sloped slightly which has been mentioned

Really friendly people at this site and very clean facilities we unfortunately couldn't make it back in time to spend the night as we did a lot of the waitomo caves and bushwalks in the surrounding area
and over exerted ourselves but Id advise checking in early to receive a receipt

This place is well situated to walk into town or to go to other tourist sites the portaloos that are on site or absolutely overflowing the block toilets on the day reserve were in slightly better conditions
but no one is clean them in a long time bring your own toilet roll we got there around 4 and there was quite a few spots still available this one is popular so ain't to check in earlier rather than later especially during a holiday weekend

What can I say absolutely tons of space one side of the park is locked after 8 p.m.
and I think that has better access to the river and swimming spots nice and flat for tenders we stayed in a self contained van everybody was friendly no issues looks like someone has abused the skip that would take away the general rubbish though over the holidays cell phone reception is extremely spotty I advise paying your fee ahead of schedule to avoid walking around with your phone in front of your face aimlessly who does that these days 😄
