Stopped here last min decision as we had camped the night before on the tops.
Thought the price was a bit much 75$pp but this includes access to the pools and wellness activities. One hot pool session, morning yoga, nature walk and a sauna infusion later = fantastic value for money. Lacks a camp kitchen and rubbish facilities, not ideal for tents but would really recommend.

For a DOC campsite what more can you ask?
Fantastic location, lots of walks to explore, clean toilet, well maintained grounds, water available…. and all for 6$pp. Despite being Christmas holidays it was pretty quiet, so we stayed two nights. Road in good condition, but yes not suitable for big vehicles. Well done DOC 👍

Lovely clean tidy grounds with great facilities.
Very modern, recycling, water, dump station, and laundry. Handy to have fly screens around the kitchen as the sandies are annoying. Great swimming hole at the river. Bit of road noise but it quickly goes quiet later in the evening. 22$pp non powered, great value.

Clean and tidy place but a bit on the pricey side for what you get 25$ pp non powered site.
Showers are extra at 2$ and very short (understand rainwater in this area so conservation is important but 2m is a very short shower!). Neat little kitchen but rubbish to be taken away with you and no chance to dump or fill up water.

Great location right on the water, nearby short walks.
Tidy area, clean toilets and a bonus (cold) shower. Well done DOC 10$pp what more could you want!

Lovely area near the river with cool swimming hole, quiet, plenty of space.
Facilities a bit dated but clean. Some permanents which make it look a bit untidy at one end, and as dogs are allowed, the odd dog poop in the grass! 13$ pp non-powered, 2$ shower, good value for money!
