First rafting experience in NZ, with the aim to do 2 day Landsborough, 2 day Mokinui and 3 day Karamea.
Had inclement weather for most of the trip but ecorafting did their best to stick to the original plan and we only missed out on rafting the top section of the Mok. The upper section of the Mok was replaced with a trip on the Buller which was good too. A few organisational issues in sections due to weather and lack of communication but we had a great time. Hats off to the United Nations of ecorafting including Josh, Rich 'its a bit slippy' Cuddles, Mule, Bonnie, Justin and Darren they were all very friendly and competent guides who did their best to make sure the trip was a great experience for all. Their bucket lunch was an experience in itself. Karamea and Mokinui were awesome rivers, some great rapids and the portage on the Karamea was epic but overall good fun. We were also lucky enough to experience ecorafting's emotional underside in rescuing a poor duckling and then following its unfortunate demise two days organise a funeral (and floating pyre) on the Karamea. I'll be back to do Perth, Whataroa and Waitoto soon guys.
Thanks again
