This was a great place to stay great proximity to seal colony a walk along the Boardwalk half a km very pleasant however you have to get in early, there are only 6 spaces for self contained campervans
they fill up fast
there is a very nice clean toilet next to the spaces and they face out to the sea there is also a picnic table with a sun shade cover over it
There is a stand that sells beer and wine and also a seafood caravan with all sorts of yummy Delights crayfish, grilled fish and other seafood which looked so yummy,
I didn't try but saw some large platters coming out looked amazing
all in all quite a good place to stay if you get in early

We stayed one night here on our way through going south nice place to stay little bays surrounded by trees where you can park your campervan couldn't see a toilet nearby no water supply or any other facilities
sports ground in front of where we parked for the night and a lot of families came along and had sports games which was quite entertaining fairly quiet in the night all-in-all not a bad place to stay

We got off the ferry and drove out to this campsite 20 minutes drive on a winding Road in hindsight we would have rather gone south as we were heading to Christchurch rather than tracking back but it was
a lovely place to stay clean toilets nice view of the ocean anyway

On the way out back to State Highway 1 you will drive past the whites Bay doc camp looks very exposed but you could park close to the beach with a view of the beach this camp is $15 per person per night and you can pay online
