I have just done a guided cycle tour with the Gisborne Cycle Tour Company - afternoon cycle ride from Eastwood Hill Arboretum to Rere and the Wharekopae River pools, rockslide and a picnic by the waterfall

, evening meal followed by a comfortable night back at Eastwood Hill Arboretum (the largest and most comprehensive collection of northern hemisphere plants in the Southern Hemsiphere), then a stunningly beautiful early morning walk amongst the mature planted forest (fresh green leaves and abundant flowers in the spring), followed by a delicious breakfast and a morning cycle ride back to Gisborne stopping at local wineries on the way!
