Remote and small campsite.
Stayed here for one night in october, there were lots of free spaces left. Very quiet at night, only the sounds of birds and friendly weka’s.
No showers. The toilets and sinks were well maintained and clean.
A couple of walking tracks start from the campsite.
Nice place to stay for one night.

Amazing campsite!!
Secluded spots available and picnic tables. Wonderful location next to the lake with mountain views.
Facilities (toilets, showers, kitchen area) were well maintained and clean. Hot showers are available, to use them you need to buy a coin (from the campsite host or at the DOC visitor center close by). When we arrived, it was after hours, and the campsite host wasn’t there so remember to get the coin in time.
Wear long sleeves as there are sandflies (even in october when we stayed here).

Stayed here for one night in october.
Much space and amazing to spend the night close to the river. Its’s a big open field but there’s also space near trees for more cover. Facilities were basic and clean, bring your torch as there is no light.

Great and large campground.
Stayed here for one night in october, there were lots of spots left. Facilities (kitchen, toilets and showers) were well maintained and clean. Different walking tracks start from the camping or are found in the area. Very serene place, with lots of birds.
When the sky is clear, this is an amazing spot for stargazing!!!
