DO IT!
The half-day was plenty, but it would have been nice to be able to move a little faster, so we could have seen even more. Our guide was very knowledgeable and quite entertaining. I would absolutely recommend this! Especially if the glacier hot pools are included/discounted...worth it!

I would say this trip was in the Top 3 of our whole trip.
Estelle & Dan were awesome! The glow worm experience was surreal. What a peaceful, enjoyable, and educational journey! AND they sent us pictures! Thank you so much!

Whale Watch Kaikoura

While it seems a bit wasteful to take a boat on a 2-hour round trip journey to see 1 whale, it was still awesome!
It's not everyday you get to see a sperm whale after all.
I would like to say thank you to the staff at the whale watching base for keeping us safe. When 2 of the other tourists followed us around taking pictures of us, we informed the staff, and they gave us a safe place to sit while the men waited for us outside. They also offered us rides to wherever we needed to go. I hope the staff there knows how AWESOME their little bit of help was in keeping us safe on our journey. Thank you!
