A beautiful campsite surrounded by woodland.
Very friendly and laid back owner, a good kitchen, laundry room with dryer and iron. One unisex toilet but this was not a problem as the campsite was fairly quiet when we visited start of December. A great stop off between Napier/Taupo and Wellington!
(If you hear an air raid siren then it is for the volunteer fire service in town, not anything to do with an earthquake so don’t panic like we did!)

A nice well kept campsite with friendly owners.
$46 for a non powered site, clean bathrooms and kitchen. $0.50 for a nice 6 minute hot shower but can put 2 $0.50 coins in at the start to have 12 minutes. Very quiet and only 10 minutes to walk into town - highly recommend the stonegrill at Saints restaurant down the road!

A lovely quiet place to stay with friendly owners.
$30 for a non-powered site for 2 people for one night. Unlimited nice hot showers & laundry facilities for an extra cost. A great kitchen with a really lovely spacious covered veranda to sit on by the river to eat, chill and socialise! The only thing I’d say is prepare for lots of midges and mozzies since it is right by the river, not that this can be prevented at all! Just bring some strong bug repellent

A great site to stay on right next to the beautiful beach.
Staff were super friendly, $50 for a non-powered site for 2 people per night. I can imagine it gets very busy in peak season but it was quite quiet considering there were lots of people in our area. Clean facilities, free hot showers but for 6 minutes by pressing a button outside the shower. You can just get out and press it again for more time so not much of a pain. Good kitchen, BBQ & laundry facilities too.

A lovely campsite, only $22 for 2 of us on a non-powered site.
Drive to the office in the owners campervan on arrival and he will check you in and take payment. A very friendly couple who wanted to help with anything. $2 for a lovely hot shower for 6 mins, laundry facilities for an extra cost too. A really nice common room for people to relax in, a pretty basic kitchen with microwave and kettle but we didn’t need anything else with our camper. Beautiful views, quiet site, and the Christmas decorations and lights were a bonus too!

A lovely quiet campsite with a nice creek next to it.
$47 for a non powered site, clean toilets and showers and clean kitchens. $1 for a 6 minute hot shower but you can put another coin in after to get another 6 minutes

A wonderful and very peaceful site with gorgeous views out the back and great facilities.
Spacious clean kitchen, clean toilets and unlimited hot showers. $46 dollars for a non-powered site. Nice pool and 2 lovely hot tubs free to use as well. $4 dollars (2 $2 coins) for the washing machine and same for the dryer machine.

Lovely campsite in a beautiful town.
A few longer term people but these were not a problem. $50 for a non-powered site. Very quiet, clean toilets, unlimited hot showers and a clean kitchen. A great place to stay before a busy day of swimming with dolphins in the Marlborough Sounds!

A good spot for those visiting Wellington.
$50 for 2 people for one night on a non-powered site. It was quite busy in early December with lots of kids playing but quiet at night apart from the odd siren. Great kitchen, dining area and bathrooms. The showers are unlimited time and amazing rain showers!
The bathrooms were a little untidy with water all around the sinks, the bin was full to the brim, paper towels ran out & toilets a bit dirty so would be nice for them to be checked & cleaned more often.

A really nice campsite with helpful and friendly managers.
Phoned up less than 5 minutes before their office closed at 6 and they happily booked us a non powered site for that night. Only $25 for a non powered site which I think is reasonable for unlimited hot showers, clean bathrooms, laundry facilities and a nice kitchen. It’s mainly permanent residents there with just a few temporary sites but you don’t notice this and it’s very quiet. Only a 20 min drive into Christchurch city centre.

A beautiful location with a quiet beach.
We had a non-powered site. Clean facilities, good kitchen, gorgeous view. It’s very well managed & you can tell effort has been put in to make it a nice experience & place for everyone. The only thing is the bathroom light is on a sensor so kept turning off during my shower since no one else came in to trigger the sensor and it couldn’t see me in the cubicle. Unlimited shower time but be as quick as possible as they are on a limited supply.

$64 for a non-powered site for 2 people.
Clean facilities, 6 minute hot showers, good kitchen for cooking & washing up. They can provide you with a kitchen box full of cooking pots & utensils if you don’t have any, you pay $25 but are reimbursed if you give it back in good condition. Friendly staff. It was very quiet in Nov 2022 but I can imagine it gets busy in summer holidays. Quite windy too but that may have just been the weather at the time.

Lovely location, nice and quiet considering it was quite busy.
We arrived after hours so used their straight forward late check in service. We had a non-powered site for 2 people for $48. Toilets and showers were very clean, we didn’t use the kitchen or laundry room but I am guessing it is very clean and well kitted out as everywhere else was.

We had a non-powered site for $55.
Friendly staff in the reception, there is a bar as well. Clean bathrooms & kitchen, there is a laundry room as well. Mahia beach is just over the road, there are gorgeous sunsets here over the water. Quite a few flies on the beach which were a pain. Lots of dotterall birds and their nests on the beach near the dunes so beware not to step on them or let dogs disturb them. It was very quiet here in Nov 2022. If you go at the right time you may see a rocket being launched from the rocket lab nearby!
