They are not always so flexible.
I wanted to travel from Oamaru to Mt Cook and since I was the only person to be picked up on the line running from Dunedin I had to pay as if I had started in Dunedin. Sometimes the bus drivers talk to fast but otherwise they are friendly and efficient.
