It may have been great but the kitchen was not available as it was being painted.
That may have been fine but there was no price reduction. $18 non powered. Some small cute cabins and a number of permanent residents. A little funky, right by the ocean

The showers are hot and $2 cost.
The cats were friendly. The fish and chips were good. But everything else…… deferred maintenance. Only one womans toilet worked but the bowl was broken at the top so it leaked. No working fridge, the kitchen was dirty. There may have been a sitting room next to the kitchen but not now. Rubbish on the site, two wrecked cars. There are permanent residents in the cabins and sleepouts. It needs work. $10 for np, no wifi.

Good for a DOC site.
Must book online to get the gate code. On site host was great. Paid showers. There is a little noise from the road and rail nearby. Good for fishing.

There are a number of friendly permanent residents. $18 for non powered. Wash and dry are $2 each. It is the Showgrounds so can get busy.

Very clean.
Small site, check in at the store. Three cabins and no permanent residents. I usually tent but it was starting to rain and knowing it would continue for 12 hours i opted for a cabin. Great decision. Cabin came with linen. Wireless worked well. Power was lost a few times but came on line quite fast.

By the small beach with lots of camping options.
I paid $25 for a non powered site, seeing the ocean thru s gap in the expensive cabins. The cafe is a scene on the weekends with young families. They are updating the facilities. Kitchen has large fridge and freezer and there is free wifi.

I paid $21 for one person on a small unpowered site for my tent.
Showers are still $1. Location is good and the hosts are helpful. Noise of powerboats from the lake during the day and a view of the lake. A small shop. Not a lot of spaces for tents. Large living room and average kitchen and bathrooms.

Updated flushing toilets, a few sites are bookable and there are a few spots suitable for a tent.
The lake is lovely. It was not busy at the end of January. No kitchen area or shelter. Also used as a boat launch area by locals.

Space on grass for a few tents, and a gravel parking lot for campervans.
Two long drops and two sinks with non potable water. The lake is wonderful, views are amazing and lovely to swim. Close to the road which is not busy at night. Worth the $8 to DOC
