the glacier is not that beatifull, but the scenery and the floathing ice in the lake are special.
If you have plenty of time, than go here. If you have little time, than think twice about this glacier walk and make sure you don't miss the more beatifull glaciers on the west side of the island (fox or Franz Jozef).

It's a creapy hostel however the furnishing and the overall atmosphere is great for a few nights.
We experienced the 'love shake' which was a good laugh.

the real life experience of the scenery is overwelming, even a lot better than all the pictures shown.
The cruise was like expected however the underwater exploring centre is'nt worth the extra money

Fantasic experience (if you manage not to get seasick).
Everything is organised perfect. However they misuse their monopoly to ask very high prices.
We spotted 3 spermwhales and a colony of dusky and common dolfins

We hired a Wanderer from Backpackers (they work together with Maui).
The van was not new, but in good condition and the service was fine. All important camping gear was included, that was nice

We took tour number 5 (combination of kayak, seal watching and walking).
The environment is beatifull, the lunch was good and the guide was very friendly and experienced.
One drawback, the changed the route because of the weather, and didn't inform us on beforehand.

We did the duo flying fox, really cool, fantastic location, but very expensive (foto's + film too).
It's a nice ride to get there, but it's at least half an hour from the highway.

Great parc, the views and walks are very beautifull.
don't get to excited about the Lady Knox geyser, this is not the highlight of the parc.
Tip, don't forget to visit New Zealands largest mud pool (it's for free, just outside the park)

Great experience, it was really cool.
We did the blue canyon in the Whathakere parc and had a great day. All gear and lunch were included. It's not cheap, but worth the money

We combined the visit to the Mitai village with a night visit in the zoo to watch live kiwi's.
The show and entertainment was good (good humor), the hangi meal wasn't that great, but oke. After a small disappointment (about the glowworms), we had a cool experience watching real live kiwi's, during a small visit in the rainbow springs zoo.
