This is quite a large area, trees one side, bank the other.
Grass needs a good mow. Easy to park. A few table and chairs. Long drop, need your own toilet paper. Short walk to the river. On a busy road, so road traffic could be a problem. Good stop off overnight on the way to somewhere else. No consistent mobile signal.

Wide open expanse towards the highway with a ring of trees towards the river.
Drop toilet. Good mobile coverage. Ground was hard, so tents would find it difficult. Walk through a grass and tree vista, lupins in bloom, rabbits roaming, towards the fast flowing, crystal clear water of the river.Surrounded by hills. Close proximity to Omarama and also the clay cliffs.

Nothing screams freedom camping.
More of a rubbish tip on an otherwise pebble beach. Rubbish everywhere. Too sandy to park up on the beach. A small patch of grass to park my van, fear of getting bogged. Ocean views stunning. Otherwise this is a disgrace.

Wide open space to play, run, walk.Patk benches around.
Small children's play area. Sheep and horses near. Views of snow capped mountains. Clean toilet facility with self closing front door, light automatically comes on. 3 outdoor tables and benches. Washing up sink with bench. There us also a small covered Pavillion for wet days. 2 rubbish bins.A lot of comings and goings as people walk their dogs. 25 minute walk to the Village. Great dining at Route 72.
