Clean clean shower (showers are free to use plenty of hot water) and toilet blocks separate men's and women's altho one day a couple shared their shower while I was at the handbasin having a shave!
Loved this place have driven past the Athenree access road from SH2 many many times but this was the first time venturing down it and into this amazing camping ground
Nice usable kitchen need to take your own cutlery pots etc altho campers have been donating their excess cutlery etc such as spatulas serving spoons slotted spoons there's also 2 large BBQs a pizza oven and a BBQ hotplate thingy all free to use in a very large outdoor dining area altho it does have a roof covering it all
Camping sites of all kinds scattered thru out the complex campervan caravan powered and unpowered plus a large number of tent sites plus they have cabins of all sizes from 1 person to 4 or 5 or more most have private TVs
There are 2 TV rooms one of which has access to SkyTV free to use
Trampoline for the kids plus a large park opposite with plenty of kids play equipment swings slides etc
Large swimming pool with heated spring water free to use by campers small charge for locals or visitors
Dogs are allowed no extra charge we had our dog with us

On Sunday 29th May I booked in and paid for a 10 day stay at your camping ground On Monday morning we drove down from our site on the grassy hill to the kitchen where my wife Cherie prepared our breakfast
I parked outside the BBQ area and just before the entrance I in the meantime had gone up to the toilet
While there a very loud female voice started shouting out for the owner of the Grey Toyota Hiace (mine) and advising all that whoever owned it to remove it because it was blocking the access for their truck to start their cleaning process
I went down to our campervan and she followed me continuing to tell me that I couldn't park there and told me I could park on site number 8 which you know is directly opposite the entrance into the lounge/kitchen area
The next day I again parked on site 8 this time that same woman came along and said that I could no longer park there as there was a large unit (campervan/caravan) coming in and they would need that area as it was the largest one in the camp
The next day I parked in the small sealed area between the kitchen and the toilet blocks near the clothes lines that same woman came again and told me I couldn't park there as large units (campervans/caravans) needed the area to turn in
I then parked outside the men's toilet block and once again that same woman came and told me I couldn't park there as it blocked the access for the cleaners and the access to the dumpster at the time I was watching the TV she stood over me issuing her orders and I said sit down take the weight off of your feet she said no I don't want to sit down I said I'll have to get myself sorted and ready because I walk with the aid of crutches
thanks for taking the time to give us a review. Yes this is right you can not park on the tar mack as it is the area the campers need to use to dump there waste people do not like it when it is difficult for them to do this. All these places you parked are where it was other than site 8 which is a site for large campers .
You booked a non powered site on other side of camp maybe a powered site would of been better for you right by the camp kitchen thanks

There's a covered swimming pool which was in use the whole time we were in the camp didn't get to use it haven't got any togs!
An amazing and very large holiday camp
Al parking sites have their own concrete pad plus a private picnic table with bench seating on both sides
Toilets and showers were outstanding extremely tidy and clean but would recommend a hand rail in the shower booths for us oldies to hang on to
Community kitchen was loaded with amenities ovens toasters jugs etc plus cutlery plates etc
TV lounge area was always kept clean and tidy lots of sofa and settee seating
Small shop in the reservation office there's also a dog washing station free to use
They have about 7 or 8 pedal operated Go-Karts which the kids and some adults were using to race all around the camp grounds looked like a lot of fun
