Highly recommended, even in winter.
Cheap and close to Tauranga, and ranger on-site morning and arvo to check in on people which is nice and makes feel secure if travelling alone. Fishing for trout is a must and glow worm track and smaller water fall on the glow worm track is beautiful. Bring a head torch as can explore park at night. Clean and tidy amenities and really good hot showers. A must for all travellers and plenty to do for three nights you will want to stay longer.

Non powered tent site $12 a night, lovely polite owners and very helpful.
A lovely grass spot for car and tent with bbq park style large table and chair sets and $1 for a hot shower token. Very quiet as mainly people in RVs but tonight the stars are shining and it’s cold but I have a hot water bottle in winter and it’s a very nice setting. Highly recommended if you are a respectful person of others. Yes there are bbq and kitchen style facilities and most people here use their RVs so haven’t seen a person use it yet and yes the toilets are clean and immaculate well done paeroa RV centre 🙌
