We ended up midfield in the middle of nowhere :-). The Dunham Reserve is actually plm 1,5 km west on the same road towards Whakamaru, same entry as Micamp. The good news is that Waikato South Council recently installed two hot showers. Thank you so much! (The bad news is they were not functioning, but i guess you can't have it all, and i assume they will be repaired at some time soon in the near future.)
The camp is big, beautiful, and has some spots near the river. The flipside for lacking a boat ramp and not too good swimming water, is that there is also no water skiing, water scooters and speed boat racing. For those who like quiet!

We prefer this spot to the one in town, it has toilets, a drinking water tap (on the wall of the Firmin Lodge), and is beside the river with grass and green.
And still walking distance to the free swimming pool plus spa. What a blessing!

Wonderful super clean wheelchair accessible flush toilets plus a rubbish recycle bin on this sweet rural gravel parking.
There were in total five cars/small vans parking overnight when we visited, but there is enough space for a few more. Thanx Westland District Council!
